It's College Football Season! My Georgia Bulldogs Visit The Colorado Buffaloes

To Fly Fish or Watch College Football? This Weekend Boulder Here I Come

(In Memory of the Dawgs loosing on this faithful night, the only good thing is that maybe our coach finally hits the road now)
Most who know me know that Fly Fishing reigns supreme for me during the year "but" during College Football season my allegiance kinda goes out the window and I've been known to miss a day out on the water to attend or watch a big game. The game can be summed up as a battle of the Mascots since UGA and Ralphie have been ranked #1 many times over and over...who will be the victor in 2010? I ran into Vic Lombardi, Denver's local Sportscaster and talked about the big game. When asked about his thoughts on the game,Vic said he was a little unsure, both have a lot to gain but not sure how this one will end since both having issues. The winner....perhaps Georgia but not by much.
mascots

Growing up in College Football's meca of the South -sorry Big 12, the SEC is still the top dog most years in College football and after spending much time in Athens, Ga my Bulldawgs outways any trout to be caught most Fall Saturdays. However this year is a bit different, both Georgia and Colorado both stink and my allegiance is sorta a wait and see on what Hatches are going off vs watching my pathetic Dawgs playing as of lately.

The Georgia Bulldawgs play the Colorado Buffaloes for the 2nd time and after a barn nurner in Athens 4 years ago this one looks to be another tight one. With much on the line for both teams, fans of each anticipate a W but than again both teams have fans on the fence about their coaches.
With Georgia I stand with many dawg fans in that going 2-7 in the SEC the last few years, a slipping dominance in the SEC and too many off the field issues are leaning towards a fired coach by the end of 2010.

The Colorado Buffaloes are in the same boat, after a few years of some very poor outcomes, the Buffalo fans have become use to loosing under Hawkins and can't wait for him to leave Boulder! Wait....he's won a few close games and if they somehow beat a down and out Bulldawg program, that could save his job? So the big question is...do you want CU to win and soon become bowl eligible perhaps or loose and finish the season hoping Hawkins finally ends a sour taste in the mouth of may true CU fans?

Game Notes:
Colorado Dawgs Local Information
FACTS & STATS: Site: Folsom Field (53,613) -- Boulder, Colorado. Television: FSN. Home Record: Georgia 1-1, Colorado 1-0. Away Record: Georgia 0-2, Colorado 0-1. Neutral Record: Georgia 0-0, Colorado 1-0. Conference Record: Georgia 0-3, Colorado 0-0. Series Record: Georgia leads, 1-0. The Colorado Buffaloes will close out the non-conference portion of their schedule when they host the Georgia Bulldogs this Saturday at Folsom Field.

Colorado has not won back-to-back games since opening the 2008 season with three straight wins. The Buffaloes had a bye last week after notching a 31-13 win over Hawaii on September 18th. They'll open their Big 12 schedule next week against Baylor. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs find themselves in a rare position as they've lost three straight for the first time since 1990. They are also 0-3 in the SEC for the first time since 1993. Last week, Georgia suffered a 24-12 loss at Mississippi State. In the only prior meeting between these two schools, Georgia rallied for a 14-13 come-from-behind win in Athens during the 2006 season.

Georgia's offense was stifled by Mississippi State in its most recent outing, mustering only a pair of field goals until the final minutes. Those field goals were the end result of the Bulldogs' only two trips to the red zone, as they weren't able to put the ball in the end zone. Aaron Murray completed 18- of-31 passes for Georgia, finishing with 274 yards and a touchdown. The run game was virtually nonexistent, with Washaun Ealey registering a team-high 36 yards on 10 carries. Through three games, Ealey is averaging 66.0 yards per game on the ground and has found the end zone only once. Murray is completing 61 percent of his passes while throwing for 219.8 yards per game, with five touchdowns and two interceptions. His top target has been Kris Durham, who has caught 17 passes for 324 yards and a TD.

Defensively, Georgia's strength is stopping the run, which should present a stark contrast from the Hawaii run defense that Colorado faced in its last outing. The Bulldogs are allowing 108.8 yards per game on the ground, which ranks 30th in the nation. However, they had some trouble containing Mississippi State quarterback Chris Relf, who has the ability to hurt defenses with his legs. In that game, Relf threw for 148 yards and two scores, and he also gashed the Georgia defense for 109 yards (5.4 ypc) on the ground. MSU tailback Vick Ballard added 64 yards and a TD on 13 carries (4.9 ypc). Look for Georgia to refocus on clamping down against the run. That starts with linebacker Akeem Dent and strong safety Bacarri Rambo, the team co-leaders with 30 tackles apiece.

Fall Fishing in South Park

Fall Day on The Dream Stream

It's that time of year again to head to the hills, enjoy a nice day out on the water and chase some big boys down on the South Platte. I hit the Dream Stream each Fall a few times and sometimes it's good other times not so much. Regardless of hoe your day goes it's always nice to hit some good water on the Dream Stream, 11 Mile Canyon or Antero-Spinney for some hot action.

cutty boca-southplatte

The Dream, or now called the Charlie Myers section, is a tough place to fish whether it's early Spring chasing Cutty's, Summertime throwing Trico's or Fall time in search of some monster Browns. Most days you can expect crowds and more crowds, wind, tough casting conditions or in my case last Fall, a whiteout snowstorm so make sure you pick the right day for your South Park adventure.

Dream3

One thing that this day brought me was an empty parking lot, clear blue skies, any hole I desired and even a few decent fish. Big Browns? Not quite but the I'll take a wind/crowdless any day any I can get! Will I be back? You know it but I much prefer a cloudy, cold Bronco's gameday to get the fish active and crowds away again.

Alaska in September! Big Kenai River Rainbows

It's Alaska Season Again

What place can you think of that has more big bows than anywhere else this time of year? Why Alaska of course and on the mighty Kenai River!

Every year I find myself flying to Alaska for one of my many favorite trips of the year. This year was a little different, well when you spend a week in Montana, have a girlfriend and are headed back to Florida shortly for some fun, targeting big Rainbows in Alaska got shot down this year darn it. No thanks to my Pal Colin who will I'm sure provide me with his money shots from this weeks 8 day trip chasing rainbows on the Kenai...you lucky bastard!

Last years Alaska trip came only a day short from landing some mega Bows, I'm talking on average 10-12lbs were being caught by our pals after I left on the Middle Kenai!!! It's always a day late and a dollar short. I did manage some nice 8-10lb bows though sight fishing, which for me takes the cake when you can actually sight fish to a double digit trout. Before that trip my prior trip we also had
some fun but the weather played some tricks on us so we instead landed more Silvers and Steelhead than big bows. One thing about Fall fishing in Alaska is don't forget to bring your appetite, catching some salmon and grilling fireside on the river is about as good as it gets for me!

One last shot to send this one out, it came to us via our pals at Way Upstream blogsite. Don't forget to target some Artic Char this Fall as well, the colors will blow your mind whether it's in Alaska or in the Northern Territory.

Our Top Summer Flies! Have A Look

A Few Of Our Favorites

Thought I would share a few of my favorite flies of Summer fishing. Sure there's countless flies one encounters throughout Summertime in the Rockies, but I highlighted a few of my favorites that helped catch a few trout.

grasshopper-SIG
Grasshoppers, or what we call "Hoppas" are one of my favorites during late Summertime. How can you beat casting large grasshopper patterns all day long getting hammered by hungry trout. I know on many of my trips this Summer this was my lead fly, but it was our Yellowstone trip to Slough Creek where hoppers really became a mainstay for flies used on that trip and dry fly action!

damsel3
Damsels for a Stillwater fisherman is like candy for a little baby, both go hand in hand. For those of you that enjoy lake fishing and some serious Summertime bites, Damsels and Callibaetis are the top flies to watch when hitting your favorite lake. Recent outings to Antero, Delaney Buttes and Spinney all produced well thanks to this favorite!

How can you talk about Summertime flies wihtout including the Stonefly (as pictured above). A stonefly can really be utililized most of the year and in fact on a trip to the Frying Pan River early Spring a guy we ran into had caught a rather large beast on a Stonefly in early March. From a recent trip to the Madison River in September we were still hammering quite a few trout still on the Golden. Almost every month on any given river you can use a stonefly pattern to catch trout and if you need to use it ealry/late in the season, go for it! With all the variations of stoneflies out there, change it up and I can almost gaurantee you plenty of Success with stones.

Fly Fishing For Carp With Dave Whitlock! I'm Waiting For The Call

Soon To Be Fishing With The Master

I finished the IFTD show here in Denver with a few things to to think about. One is how good it was to catch up with old friends in town, two was that my bank account needs to improve before I take advantage of all the pro deal forms I received over the week and lastly, if not most important was running into friend Dave Whitlock.

Just finding time to talk to Dave was a special treat, especially seeing how his booth was stacked with people throughout the show. I was able to catch him the last few hours on Saturday and it was well worth the wait!

I was able to talk a little fishing with the Master about his favorite fish species... Carp! Okay, Golden Dorado's are a close 2nd seeing how he is very addicted to this new targeted species. Both of which have their own uniqueness but I suppose the Dorado may take all species as to the beauty of this Southern fish. I almost targeted Golden Dorado's on my last trip to Argentina but time fell short so no go. Dave talked away as if it was a youngster getting into fly fishing for the 1st time, he loved to go on about these fish and his new addiction.

dave2

Back to Carp now...So Dave and I rambled away about the current state and future of Carp fishing as well as our top destinations to chase em. The Great Lakes still reign supreme for top level Carp action and despite it's popularity, carp are getting edgy to the pressure it's still a place everyone needs to try sooner or later. The topic of Colorado Carp Fishing came up and I ran with it! I fish a great deal for Golden Bones here in the Front Range area and know some great spots. Once that was mentioned the next question by Dave was "Man if only I knew Denver was hot on Carp and we had more time we could have hit some water!" Perhaps not this time but Dave asked for my number to call me when he comes intown again visiting family memebers to go out one afternoon. Uhh sure, I'll be happy to take out a legend for an afternoon fishing and learn from the Master himself!!

Whether or not that actually happens who knows but to get to talk to a guy that most all of us look up to in the Industry and for what he does for the sport, is a day that I will definitely look forward to.

Recap From the 2010 IFTD International Fly Fishing Dealer Show in Denver!

Where To Begin..That's The Question

Another year brings another great Fly Fishing week at the IFTD "International Fly Fishing Trade Show" held in Denver once again. Impressive new products, feedback from some of the top players in the Industry as to what's going on, how technology is still changing the sport hopefully year after year it continues and meeting new fishing pals from British Columbia to the British Isles. Thanks to Kyle from Compleat Thought again for putting the Social Media section ie: -Bloggers area and it was also great meet some of the Top Fly Fishing News creators out there serving the blogosphere.

Sad news to my local Colorado pals, the show was just moved to New Orleans for 2011! Man, just when I was enjoying having all the Top Fly Fishing shows in my backyard. What can you say, New Orleans needs it and I need another excuse to head South for Saltwater fishing and Partying in the Big Easy.

Here's a breakdown, way too much to talk about but this is a start. Here also is last year's recap also if you can't get enough -2009 IFTD Show

IFTD show denver

Top Photographer Friends
Mark Lance- Mark is another friend of mine I've known for years and if you want one of the best guys all around for photography and fishing adventurers he's it. Where has this guy not been? Brian Okeefe watch your back, Mark is moving up in the industry and from his latest adventures in British Columbia chasing Steelhead, he's been off having fun again.

Brian Grossenberger- I ran into Brian while chatting with Carter-- and when Brian came over to chat, I instantly realized that 1/2 of the magazines I read, he's had the covers. Brian is an incredible photograher that I had to apologize to after my Spring edition about top Photographers and I just listed a link and not a write up about. As promised wait and see, you're spot is coming! Checkout out Brian's page if you haven't, you won't be disappointed.

Corey Kruitbosch & Bryan Gregson- I had to connect with my friend Corey who made it to the show and I forgot to touch base before he got here. Luckily we were able to connect before he departed and to finally meet Bryan as well. Two of the top newcomers (hate to say newcomers) in photography have to be Corey and Bryan. In just the last 2 years these guys have been showing up everywhere from Fly Fishing company profile covers, magazine covers to Industry catalogs. Also they both play a big part in Utah Water Guardians keeping a close eye on our favorite waters of Utah and water rights within the region. Corey and I definitely need to go chase some Tarpon in Florida since we keep talking about it all the time. Bryan knows his Montana water well so the next time I'm up that way, I'm looking him up fo sure!

Brian O'keefe- What can you say when talking about Brian, he's the one everyone wants to be in Fly Fishing. Everytime he makes it to Denver I always try and connect with Brian to hear about his next trip, or in most cases his latest trips he takes every month around the globe. His photography is hands down above the rest and with a popular publication like Catch Magazine you know why. Can't wait to hear about your next adventure Brian.

Top IFTD Product Winners & FFA's Most Popular
Korkers
Sam- What can I say my man, you know your stuff and I'm sold! Korkers has some incredibly new products out this year and from what I've seen the new Chrome and Metalhead models will be flying of the shelf's in no time.

korkers2011

Hardy
Crosby- A few of the guys that tagged along with me (FFA employees to get in) were buddies with Crosby, the Regional Manager for Hardy and it was nice to get some insight as to Hardy's new candy out next year! Their new rod SINTRIX is finally out so watch out! SINTRIX short for Silica Nano Matrix is a new formulation of resin that binds the carbon fiber and re-enforces the blank to such an extent that broken rods may be a thing of the past. Rods made with SINTRIX™ are effectively 60% stronger, up to 30% lighter and have hugely improved impact resistance over conventional carbon fiber. Try one out and I can guarantee you won't be disappointed, I know after talking to Tarpon Master Andy Mill about it I'm sold.

Ross Reels
Geoff- I finally got to catch up with Geoff, it's been months of chatting about our fish tales and trying to catch up to talk more about fish tales and Ross's latest in Reel Technology. Great new F1 reel series and I can't wait to try one out this Fall.

Tibor Reels
Ted Juracsik is back at it again making some of the best reels out there, is that something new, doubt it! With some of their new models out this year encountered a facelift you might like, I know being a huge Tibor fan myself . The new Tibor Signature Series models are out and on everyones hot list. I love their new quick change reels, teflon material and core drag makes this one of the top performers around.

Top Fly Fishing TV Shows
Link to my Favorites
Hooked on The Fly
- I ran into John Dietsch, yes the guy from "A River That Runs Through It" but didn't bring that up unlike many friends of mine that have in the past. John has some great shows out from Hooked on the Fly to Adventure Guides; yes I know you've seen them. I watch em all but his rank up there on my Saturday Fly Fishing show list. Great to catch up with him and talk about some people we both know and what trips are on the agenda for 2011, or perhaps trips I can help him with :)
Carter Andrews- Carter is one good guy to chat fishing with. Whether it's his fishing shows in the past with Jose Wejebe on Spanish Fly, Madfin Shark Tournament, his newest venture in Isla Secas Panama or his addiction to Stillwater fishing -remember that Fly Fishing Magazine cover last year with a 12lb Monster brown, that was Carter. Definitely hitting him up in Wyoming for some bruisers and also can't wait to cancel my Costa Rica trip next year and meet you down in Panama for some fun.

*Top Video Awards*
Travis Rummel-I bumped into Travis at the show and had to make an immediate gracious, thanks for making one sweet fly fishing video once again! Travis is part of Felt Soul Media and creator or the latest hit "Eastern Rises"
Jan Bach Kristensen-Jon your Tarpon video "Tapam" Video was voted #1 Drake Video awards...Wow is all I can say! Tarpon in a belly boat is something nobody does, nor crazy enough to try. Thanks for showcasing this Amazing video and sequence of Tarpon action on a float tube!

Other friends I bumped into
Dave Whitlock-My new best friend from the show hands down! After spending some time with the Legend himself talking freshwater fishing and a few hotspots of mine, Dave asked for my information to call to go chase some Carp when he gets into Denver next time, my response.....uhhh sure Mr. Whitlock call me anytime you like.
Vincent Su- It's time to get back out for some Stillwater again this Fall my friend Vincent talked about as I caught up a bit this weekend. Mr. 720 Vise seems to always be working or selling his very popular 710 vise model. We fish when we can but this Fall will be the time for some big fish in some hidden stillwater areas of ours.
Ben Furimsky- What doesn't Ben do these days. Between help run the biggest fly fishing show in the country with his dad, busy tying some incredible patterns out on the market, busy guiding or keeping busy running one of the nest Angling Bookstores around? Well I can't wait to get back down to the Crested Buttes/Gunnison area this Fall a few times. He kept a few of us busy entertaining last Fall and hope to get back again soon for some fun.
Bruning Rangel- Bruning is a buddy I've known for years and anyone seeking a fly fishing adventure in Middle to North Park he's your man. Oh did I mention he also has a hunting operation and top level bird dogs.
Rick Takahashi- Rick was a busy man again this show and not much time to catch up but did swing by his booth to view some of his latest flies in demand. Can't wait to get back out on the water sometime and do some stillwater fishing.
Devan Ence- When you think of big fish I can't think of another guy around with more big fish,
-whether Trout, Lakers or Pike he's caught em. Whether it's fishing with our pal Ryan Davey or fishing with all across the country or top fly tying he does it. We talked a few big upcoming trips this Fall and catching up to do some fishing in the future, would love to learn a few things from him about catching big trout.
GMF- Okay I thought I knew a ton of people at the show till I ran into my pal GMF AKA-dave. Everywhere we went he was introducing me to people. Okay I introduced to a couple as well but he definitely knew who to talk with and who to payback for from his hangover the night before at the Drake Movie Awards night. Dream Stream is a calling us GMF!

Others in Attendance that just not enough time to talk to dang it! Andy Mill -the Tarpon King and Saltwater master, Bob Clouser..he's the man and Brian Okeefe- what a crazy character and my idol for the lifestyle this guy leads.

*Recap also from Midcurrent on the top product reviews and videos from the show. Great work Marshall.

Denver's IFTD Show and WorldAngling's New Supernatural Saltwater Video!

The WorldAngling Crew is Back Again

The IFTD show is finally back in Denver again and the excitement has been building for weeks with friends of mine coming into town for AFFTA's annual show. The anticipation for new products coming out in 2011 has got us pondering as to whether this show will be another doozy or a good one to remember.

Early Fall Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico Fishing Reports!

Fall Is Almost Here..What Are The Fish Doing?

Frying Pan River
Taylor Creek Fly Shop

This is a superb time of year. We are still seeing all of the summer hatches without any of the summer crowds now. As always, the Frying Pan is the place to be to throw dry flies. The hatches right now are starting small in the morning, with BWO's and some midge activity, and getting bigger through out the day. PMD's and Drake are typically begining to hatch somewhere around mid-day and carrying into the late afternoon. 11:00am to 4:00pm is definitely the sweet spot for dry fly fishing. And just like always, you can catch fish on nymphs from sun up to sun down. And as always, the shrimp fishing can be incredibly productive directly below the dam.

Appropriate Patterns
Dries: Roy's FP Emerger, CDC Comparadun, Collet's Para. BWO, BWO Sparkledun,Flag Dun's BWO, Sprout Baetis, BWO Para. Emerger, PMD Sparkledun, Flag Dun PMD, Melon Quills, CDC Para Spinner, Polywing Spinner, CDC Spinner, Cripple Green Drake, BDE Drake, Royal Wulff, Twilight Drake, K.G.B. Drake

Blue River Near Silverthorne
Cuuthroat Anglers

Explosive Baetis fishing! Great surface action in morning and late afternoons. Consider going downstairs durring the heat of the day with a generic bead (phesent tale, Prince, Hares Ear, etc) down to a RS2 (black size 22 has faired best for me). For surface patterns dabble with varried small Baetis Patterns paired with a small hopper, or size 12 stimulators (mostly so you can keep your eye on something).

Gray Reef North Platte River Wyoming
North Platte Lodge

Hopper activity has picked up tremendously...good stuff! Cassid, stone fly, tricos, psuedos and baetis...yes, baetis are on the menu. Scuds, leeches are producing as well. So many opportunities and the fish are taking them. We are really fortunate to have had such a fun season and it will continue to offer new challenges. I suspect we will stick to the hopper gig until it subsides..then it will be streamer time and dry fly with baetis etc. Hunting is just around the corner and we have a couple dates left for sage grouse and a few for early season waterfowl.

San Juan River New Mexico
San Juan Fishing

Fishing has been great lately on the San Juan with good hatches of midges, baetis, pmd's and caddis (mid-summer). We are starting to experience cooler, fall-like weather which should only help the fishing.

Midge immitations in various colors, both larvae and emergers in sizes 22, and 24 along with micro pink eggs have been doing the trick for us in the upper portions of the Quality Waters. Those same flies plus grey Johnny Flash's in size 20 have been working well in the mornings from Texas Hole down to Simon canyon. In the afternoons, we have had good luck with foam wings in grey and chocolate and fluff baetis, also in grey and chocolate, to mimic the baetis. The trout will hit the baetis emergers even when no baetis are visible on the water.

Provo River Utah
Fishwest

A little weather in the forecast should keep a few bodies off the Provo River this weekend and into the early part of the week, but shouldn't have much of an impact on the fishing. We should see good PMD hatches with some moisture in the air. Brandon went out earlier the other day and hit some nice browns up on PMD spinners prior to work. With the late start to the summer, we are expecting September to be better than usual. So far, so good!

What to expect:
The terrestrial fishing is really starting to pick up. It is a little later than usual, but that will only help make September a better month. We still have good and consistent PMDs and caddis hatches that are producing at times excellent dry fly, nymph and soft hackle fishing. Hoppers are fishing better on the Middle Provo compared to the Lower Provo because of all the fields that surround the middle section of this river, however ants and beetles are other terrestrials you should be fishing. Look for morning and evening spinner falls and the hatch to begin in the afternoon. Many of you are missing opportunities by not paying attention to the spinners.

Final Recap From Our Yellowstone Fishing Trip! Gallatin River, Firehole River & Slough Creek!

Too Much Water Too Little Time
All Links To Our Trip and Sections Below

This is our Final recap thread from our trip this week. Yes I know you've been enjoying all of our adventures and great pictures from our Yellowstone Trip this week but you know it had to end sooner or later!

Sit back, relax and enjoy a few more pictures from Yellowstone and start your planning for a trip this Fall or next Summer, you won't regret it I promise.

slough6gardiner
One of many nights fireside recapping another great day and recounting many lies about how big they were. Getting dark at 9pm every night made for some very late night with a few cocktails. One vantage spot from our Cabin in Gardiner, Montana overlooking the Yellowstone River.

camping-buffalo2
Waking up in the morning creekside to Buffalo's and yes we had a few walk inches from our tent one morning. Nothing like getting out of the tent to 2 big Buffalo's walking by to greet me for breakfast. If you camp at Slough Creek, plan ahead it can get very corwded and space can be limited, if you make it the location is so hard to beat.

Gallatin-riverfirhole
Finishing the trip up to more great dry fly fishing on the Gallatin River outside of Big Sky, Montana. Gorgeous water and pocket water hole hopping made for some early evening action on big caddis patterns. The Firehole River is widely known as a top river to fish, one thing to remember. When it's Summertime the "Firehole Thang" makes the water a bit warm so keep that in mind when targeting this River, primetime would definitely be early Fall when things cool off and browns move up.

backcountry-slough
Slough Creek is one place everyone must try once in their life. After fishing there over countless years; I still get excited to make it there whether the fishing is good or bad!

Madison River Fly Fishing Delight! Summer Fishing Trip To Yellowstone

Evening Hatches on The Madison is Hard To Beat
Links to our trip and sections below

The Madison River is often rated as the country's number one trout stream...perhaps it is? This incredible fishery startes in Yellowstone National Park and flows through one of Montana's most grandest valleys on its journey to form the Missouri river. The Madison river has it all: great hatches, spectacular scenery, huge trout and great water. A day float fishing the Madison from a drift boat is prerequisite for any Montana fishing trip. The upper portion of the River is designated for wade fishing only and is an ideal location to target large, strong and healthy browns and rainbows in swift rocky pocket water.

doggiesmadison-riverlodging
Lodging a few hundred yards from where we fished each day made this one of the more perfect locations we could find. Fish part of the day, siesta in the afternoon after a big lunch, few beers and nothing like a few Labs to wake us up to get back out on the water.

Gorgeous fish here on thd Madison and despite being tougher than normal due to the fact that teh dam is being worked on and not finished until 2012, water was warmer and the fish were less active. Results, more skill or in my case luck in catching more fish.

The Madison River starts it's way from Yellowstone National Park and makes it's way through the Madison Valley through Hebgen and Quake lakes. One incredible trout fishery whether floating the 50 mile ripple or fishing the Lakes, both can prove worthy of a top notch fishery.

Don catching a nice trout the 1st 5 minutes of getting there and in 10 minutes it was on for the both of us! Flies of choice included stoneflies, copper johns, my fav #18 bhpt flashback, #14 bh hares ear and in the evening time 22 trico's, #16 yellow sally's, #14 foam caddis, and #12 brown drakes. Nothing like catching nice rainbows at 9:20pm in the dark and going by feel and splashes as to when set the hook....Loved It!
